Arvid Sveen is a visual artist, photographer and graphic designer. He has had separate exhibitions in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Faroe Islands. His images have been acquired, among other things, by the Nordnorsk Art Museum, The Sami Collections, the Norwegian Culture Council and the Kemi Art Museum in Finland.

 

As a graphic designer, he has designed more than 50 Norwegian municipalities. In 2004, he received Finnmark County Council's Cultural Prize. Arvid Sveen has made the books Helleristninger, Jiepmaluokta, Alta (1996), Beautiful Varanger (2000), Mythical Landscape (2003) and Tinden, Portraits / Portraits (2006).

 

Arvid Sveen er billedkunstner, fotograf og grafisk formgiver. Han har hatt separatutstillinger i Norge, Sverige, Finland, Danmark og på Færyene. Hans bilder er innkjøpt blant annet av Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum, De samiske Samlinger, Norsk Kulturråd og Kemi Kunstmuseum i Finland.

 

Som grafisk formgiver har han utformet mer enn 50 norske kommunevåpen. I 2004 fikk han Finnmark Fylkeskommunes Kulturpris. Arvid Sveen har laget bøkene Helleristninger, Jiepmaluokta, Alta (1996), Vakre Varanger (2000), Mytisk Landskap (2003) og Tinden, portretter/portraits (2006).
