On the Subject of Body and Space, 2013

The project On the Subject of Body and Space consists of an 8:53-minute long 16-mm film, as well as a number of photographs and collages. The works are based on the concept of the nude model as an idealized art object, and attempt to view this subject from a new perspective challenging the photographic conventions of frame, space, scale and the body. The series plays with these conventions, making one intersect with the other. What is a body in space and how can the viewer identify with the objectified body?
